The AsiaBIO Group Foundation Inc. or "AsiaBIO" is the corporate social responsibility arm of the Asia Biogas group of companies. Asia Biogas specialize in biogas and other waste-to-energy technologies. The group of companies comprise Asia Biogas Co. Ltd. based in Thailand with offices in Indonesia and Vietnam, CleanTHAI Ltd. in Thailand and the Philippine Bio-Sciences Company, Inc. (PhilBIO). The group's affiliates include Silk Road Technologies, USA; and Trading Emissions, PLC, UK.
Since 1999, the Asia Biogas group of companies have helped large farm and industrial plant owners to implement waste-to-energy systems. These systems have enabled plant/farm owners to engage in environmentally sustainable operations, and have proven to increase the viability and profitability of their business.
Meanwhile, the majority of livestock raisers are engaged in small-scale operations, and they usually do not have the know-how and means to make their operations environmentally benign. To extend its services to this sector, the Asia Biogas group formed "AsiaBIO". It was registered as a foundation with the Philippine Securities & Exchange Corporation on February 2008. With principal office in the Philippines, the foundation's operations will cover communities in the Southeast Asian region.
